His most recent project, ‘Field of Light’, was installed in Uluru, Australia. The piece was inspired by his first visit to the desert in 1992. He was fascinated by the energy, heat and brightness of the desert landscape. Field of Light is the embodiment of this experience.

“I wanted to create an illuminated field of stems that, like the dormant seed in a dry desert, would burst into bloom at dusk with gentle rhythms of light under a blazing blanket of stars” Munro says.

20 Fantastic Works Of Street Art That Brightened Up Our Streets Last Year

0

Street art, just like any other form of art, is constantly evolving. Once, it consisted of only lonesome frescoes; nowadays, however, grandiose festivals are held where the soul of these otherwise hard-to-see artists is revealed to the world. Every single one of them has a distinctive style and captivates the viewer with something of their own: sometimes it’s the scale of the work, sometimes their humour; others captivate us with their superb use of the environment.

14 Fantastic Ideas To Help Your Children Learn To Draw

0

All children love drawing and painting, but many of them struggle to make progress in this area which is so crucial for their development. It’s very important to help your children as much as you can in realising their ideas and fantasies on paper.

But there’s no reason to think you can’t help them here if you don’t know how to draw. It’s actually a lot easier than you think — you just have to know what basic shapes to employ and build it up from there. To get you started, we prepared a set of pictures which show you step-by-step how to draw various animals. Draw them with a pencil, and then rub out the lines as you go along. Have a go, and perhaps by the end it won’t be just your child that has a new enthusiasm for drawing.

Fantastic Worlds of John Brosio: Tornadoes, Twisters, and a Jerk in a Road

1

You have to like John Brosio: a guy who appreciates a bottle of Chateau Yquem, but is equally happy with a can of Budweiser. Brosio, who paints Texas twisters with the aplomb and sensitivity of Corot, is an artist who can make you smile and scare you at the same time. His canvases fuse dark humor and a dose of awe into memorable images that get you in the gut.
